When you buy shoes, do you make sure they fit exactly, like the big toe is touching the front end. Or do you wear something slightly bigger, like your toe has an inch of space.

  1. Most of the experts I've been to leave a bit of room so that the big toe isn't rubbing the front of the shoe.  No part of your foot should be cramped or have too much room to create friction points.

  2. Your big toe should not be touching the end of the shoe, but it doesn't take an inch of space either.

Try on the shoes and walk around in the store for a few minutes to be sure they fit correctly.
