  1. I like to use shooting gloves with some light padding in the palm for shooting a hard recoiling handgun so I can keep a good grip on it.  I prefer the fingerless type so that I have the improved grip in my hand and yet have my fingers free to better feel the trigger and operate the gun.  These gloves are available from www.cabelas.com, www.basspro.com, www.midwayusa.com, www.midsouthshooterssupply.com or www.gandermountain.com.  Most good gun stores have shooting gloves, too.  It is probably better to buy your gloves form a local store so you can try them on before buying them.  They should be tight but not so tight that they are uncomfortable.  Loose gloves will slip and move around on your hands from hard recoil.

I have seen a lot of gun gloves but have never seen a bad pair.  All that I have seen have been well made.  It is to your benefit to look them over for signs of quality and to be sure that they fit properly.  Store clerks usually can help you in finding a glove that fits properly.

  2. well if you go to gander mountain i know they have a lot

i might be a girl.. but i loveee hunting

so just try to find the one that best fits your needs!

it depends if you live in cold, wet, dry climate

  3. Why are you wearing shooting gloves? Because they look cool? If anything they will help you fumble reloads and reduce sensitivity. Cabelas sells that stuff

For Varmint hunting I wear mits to keep warm in freezing temps and bad weather, but take it off to shoot.

  4. If you are shooting at a range, in preparation to going hunting, I'd recommend wearing the same gloves that you are planning to hunt with. Either Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops have several good choices.

  5. I got mine at Bass Pro Shops, they have a bunch of great gloves....I only use them in the freezing cold though....I prefer to shoot without them.
