Shooting pains. What are they?

What is an actuall shootign pain. Is is it a pain that suddenly happens, then quickly goes, or does it start somewhere, and then shoots somewhere else, like down the leg.

A shooting pain is one which starts suddenly and causes a lot of discomfort. It is a high intensity pain. egg...angina pain is of shooting type. What you are confusing it with is referred pain. This pain starts at a particular site and is felt at another site called the referred site...
