Question:

Shopping with my friend?

Hi

Whenever I go shopping with my best friend I always end up feeling depressed because whenever we try clothes on they always look so good on her (she is size 4/6 uk and about 5ft4/5) but look rubbish on me, I am so much bigger than her and just feel so ugly around her (I am UK 10/12 5ft9) I can't seem to find anything that looks good and I just feel so fat round her. Has anybody got any advice on how to build up my confidence or what sort of clothes would look better.

Thanksxxxxx

(not really sure what category this should go in)

  1. Go for Abercrombie, they have many different cuts and shapes that may flatter you, along with Aerostaple.

  2. Don't try dressing like your friend, just dress for your shape.

Size 8/10 is hardy huge, I'm that size.  Dress for your curves, wear pencil skirts, boot cut jeans, tailored blazers, fitted t-shirts and shirts, dresses with belts on the waist to give an hour glass shape, and always wear heels, the lengthen the leg and make them look slimmer.

I'm sure your friend has a great figure, but if you dress right for your shape you can really have the wow factor over her with your feminine curves which she lacks.

  3. dont go shopping with her go shopping with someone around your size so you guys both feel comfortable

  4. well you could tell your friend that you don't feel like trying clothes on, or just tell her this issue. to build confidence, shut your room door and do one the following ( or all lol )

    -dance

-talk to urself in the mirror

-pretend your a movie star haha ik.

  5. this is the best advice you will get you may be different shapes and sizes from her but you are still pretty no matter what so what if she has a better body you do to but you are denying it and boys that are out there might like your body.

  6. Accentuate what is positive about you--your height and weight, clearly, as you are built like a model, and she isn't.  Long boot-cut jeans with heeled ankle boots will suit you to a tee.  Also, long cardis with camisoles or vee neck tops with statement jewelry--ie, dangly earrings and necklaces with noticeable pendants that don't have to be  dear--will also look great on you.  Find a super winter coat in a pretty color.  Remember that you will stand out in a way she never will, so play it for all it is worth.

A pretty cashmere roll neck, as well as one in black...

Do you have any streaks in your hair--just a thought.
