Should I darken my hair?

Question

Am I too fair skin for black hair? Or really dark brown hair? I've been wanting to dye my hair for years - now I'm thinking about it more and more. Please help.

If you get it done right, dark hair against pale skin can be gorgeous! Think selma blair and courtney cox.  Make sure it looks healthy and not fake though or you will come off as trying too hard.  Plus, you can always dye it back!

I have a suggestion if you are looking for a change.  I just recently had low lights put in.  I have dark brown hair, wanted a change but still wanted a natural look.  I chose a dark reddish brown and a medium brown and had thin low lights of these 2 colors.  I really like it.  Also the good thing about this is if you do not keep it up it grows out nicer and more natural not a dark and light line in you hair,  (which does not look very good).

i think black may be too harsh. but a nice dark chocolate brown would be nice. i love the rich shiny look it gives hair and it suits most people. i personally like darker hair during the winter times and lighter highlights and lowlights during the summertime. remember that it may fade a little bit too after a few washes so if it comes out darker than you hoped it will turn out perfectly.

I think you should go for it. Pale skin and dark hair makes a gorgeous complexion.
