  1. DONT DO IT. Syrian hamsters are very territorial and they WILL kill each other if you make them live together. Wait until your female is in heat, then put them together. But keep an eye on them, because they might still fight.

  2. Don't do it there are already too many hamsters out there you shouldn't be mating them.  Plus stuff can happen and I'm pretty sure the male will die.

  3. If you're inexperienced, I wouldn't breed just yet.

Firstly, never keep Syrians with hamsters of any kind (this includes dwarves). When breeding, you need to keep the hamsters apart and wait until the female in heat. Then, when the female has got through her gestation period and has given birth, leave the female with the pups and do not try to touch them as the female may reject them and eat them. Remember that the pups need separating before they reach sexual maturity, regardless of them being from the same litter.

  4. NO. dont do it. even if they didnt fight and kill each other, you will most likely never find a home for them. dont get them to mate. just put them in seperate cages

  5. it wouldnt be a very good idea due to the fact that they might fight. Just keep an eye on them. You will be able to tell if she is pregnant when she starts getting fat and she will start making little nests all over the place and digging around. Just please please please make sure that when she has her babies that the babies are in a seperate tank because the moma and daddy will eat them!

  6. No, its that easy. teddy bear (syrain) hamsters are solitary and territorial, they Will fight, one will most likely die, if not you really, really do not want to breed. especially syrain hamsters, they are the worst rodents to try to breed, they fight, eat their babies, and there is already to many hamsters in this world that needs homes, backyard breeding should be illegal.

Do not put two teddy bear hamsters anywhere near each other. if they are not babies, they will fight and normally die.
