Should I get another kitten?

I know this question is asked a lot, but every situation is different. I just want some opinions. My kitten is about 3 months old, and I've had him for 2 months. He is very active and bites me in the arms and legs, and now he's starting to bite really hard and hang on. I've tried everything to make him stop doing this. He has every toy you can imagine, a small cat tree, his litter box is kept clean, his food and water bowls are kept clean and full, and he sleeps with me every night (when he's through chewing on me).

The only thing I haven't tried to get him to stop attacking me is getting another kitten. I suspect that he was taken from his mother too early, and I have read several sources that say that's where he's supposed to learn how to play nice. I would be able to afford another cat, and I would treat him/her just as well as I treat this one. The only difference is that I won't be home as much starting August 25th, because that's when school starts. I'll be gone from 8 to 6.

Definitely get another kitten quickly  - they won't miss you while you're at school because they will learn to just sleep while you're gone ...  you're doing all the right things and another kitten would be blessed by you.   The humane society in your town will provide a huge choice.  In fact    I bet it will be hard for you to leave with only one!   I like you and don't even know you!  :>   moie

Yes i think you should get another one over.But do spend some quality time with them and never let any one of them feel lonely or left out.

Another kitten will keep the first one company and maybe help burn off some of his energy.

well u can buy stuffed animal cat that looks realistic and see how he reacts mean with it then there is not another cat that is going to live there but if he reacts nice then u should get a new cat. i am a cat lover

Is this kitten going to be home alone between 8-6? If so, I might look into getting another kitten. Your kitten now...if left unattended for all those hours...full run of the house....might let it's frustrations out on your furniture. I would think about another kitten  but if your afraid of letting them run around in the house; I would suggest keeping them in a bedroom or some room that would let them romp around in .

Anyway, if he is really agressive, then when he bites to hard, blow gentley in his face and tap him on the nose to make him let go, and say "no, play nice". yes this sounds like something you would do with a dog, but its works for cats too. my uncle's cat was t]like this, and he did this, and now Mikey(his cat) doesnt bite at all, unless its gentle and just playful. After you get him to let go, pet him and praise him, so he knows that by letting go, he was being good. continue to play with him, if he is still rough, then get up and walk away, leave the room if u have to, let him know that if he cant play nice, he looses his playmate... This works with both cats and dogs. Dogs pick it up quicker, just because they r more trainable in these ways, but it works with cats. Always be gentle with him, he learns by example, thats how he would learn to play nicely when still with his mother and littermates.

Getting another cat could go both ways. It might let him rough play and they could be buds, or, the new kitten might not like rough play either, or your current kitten might be hostile, depends if he really has adapted to his home or not. I'd be careful with another cat until your sure you wanna get one.
