Question:

Should I go to Rome?

Student spring break trip for about a week. I'm not interested in church history or drinking. Not much of a sightseer. Looking for adventure, adrenaline-like activities, or cool shots to film. Should I go to Rome, or save my money for something else? Let me know if more details would help for advice. Thanks!

  1. definitely cool shots to film and things to do in rome.  if you're looking for adventure, count your money and plan a "backpacking" trip through some of europe.  throw in belize and tour a little more of italy and you'll find adventures.  go to the hostels, etc. you'll meet crazy and fun people doing the same and be able to change your plans/destination according to what you see.

  2. Save your money ! What to do or see in Rome? Just culture, history, gorgeous buildings, museums.... no, let it down.

  3. go to bologna there people love the night life and they are very friendly

  4. If you want adventure in Rome, go to Stazione Termini at night and show off...you'll meet some interesting people, all right...

If you are going to Rome and are not interested in Art, History and Culture, you are probably wasting your time....

  5. Rome is about sightseeing, not adrenaline.  If you want active vacations, try costa rica, africa, or something like that.  While you can get some interesting things on film in Rome, I really don't know that it fits what you are looking for.

  6. Adventure? Adrenaline? Gardaland! It's a theme park like Disneyworld (butr smaller) on Italy's largest, beautiful lake.

Seriously now,if you are not attracted or fascinated by Rome, leave it for your older years, when you will really appreciate it. It's just marvellous, but you can't do rafting in its fountains. Not yet, that is...

    Ciao

  7. yeah, i dont think rome is for you.  its a very cultural city with lots to see and do, but not the adventure you seek.  i think other areas of italy might be of interest to you, but you might be more interested in other parts of the world.  save the pennies and head to australia or maybe south america.  rome has some great scenery, but i think it might not have everything you are looking for.
