I recently bought a lipstick this color from M.A.C.

ive been told that you should only highlight and emphasize one feature when using makeup.I was thinking of using mascara that creates the illusion of thicker and longer eyelashes. Is that okay or is just best to highlight my lips with the lipstick?

  1. It Depends on where your going if your going to a FANCY place just go with the lipstick if your going to a not so prim and proper go for both the mascara and the lipstick girl! :)

  2. use both

  3. The lipstick should definitely be the center of attention. Black mascara is great, just keep the eyes and cheeks simple. For your cheeks just foundation, and for your eyes the mascara you were talking about. Don't try to do another color on your eyes, like bright teal, because it'll end up looking like your from some 60's re-run. Just keep your eyes simple, because of the lip color.

It's a gorgeous color, by the way. :)

  4. no i think it should look good with both emphasize...♥

  5. i think you could use the mascara too. but thats it though since it's such a bright awesome color of lip stick!

  6. The point about emphasis, is how much of each you use.  If you go heavy on the lips than go easy on the eyes.  This means a brown/black mascara, subtle eyeliner/shadow.  It doesn't mean to only put make up on one part of your face.  That colour is wild, have fun!

  7. You can use mascara! Go ahead. What they mean is don't have a big dramatic eye and a bold pink lip like you're doing. Just put on the mascara and lipstick and it should look great :]

  8. Yep, the lipstick and mascara would be fine. Just don't do heavy eye makeup (eyeliner, eyeshadow, ect).

  9. bothh.

  10. I really like the Almay Hydracolor lipstick. This site even offers if for free!

  11. I think both would be nice on you!

  12. Mascara is great to highlight your eyes and doesn't make you look like you are wearing too much make up when highlighting another feature also.  You don't want to look like you are just lips.  Just keep your eye make up neutral, more browns/taupes or soft black shadow with some mascara, no eyeliner needed.
