Question:

Should I re-take the SATs?

I took the SATs this May. I'm a Junior, and here are my scores:

Critical Reading: 750

Math: 660

Writing: 700

So that is a 1410 out of 1600 and a 2110 out of 2400

I think I can do better but I don't know if I should re-take them and risk not getting much better.

Constructive criticism is appreciated!

  1. Taking it one more time could not possibly hurt you. You could score better in ONE area and even that would be good. However, your scores are amazing! I am jealous. The SAT can kiss my butt. :D

  2. If you think you can do better, and really want to put in a lot of effort, you should try again. Remember though, that you need to take your subject tests as well, which are offered on the same days. Your scores are fine, so only take them if your gpa isn't as good, or the school you are planning on applying to is really competitive. Good luck!

  3. A girl in my school got a 2400...

But those scores are very good. So I wouldn't if I was you. But if you want to try one more time, go ahead!

  4. wooow. i'd so keep it!  unless..you really really want that 2400 =P i'd just keep it ^_^ nice job

  5. That is wonderful!  Truely Ivy League number!  WOW!!

You can retake it if you want and that would make you feel better.

However, your score is fantastic.  It is not just above average, but above and beyond.  You can truely get into any college with a good application.
