Should I take up kickboxing lessons?

Hey. I'm a fairly fit, 17 year old guy and I've been thinking about broadening my horizons a bit and trying something completely different in terms of exercise like joining group boxing or kickboxing classes...But first. . .

a) What's the difference between kickboxing and boxing?

b) Is there anything I should know before I signed up for a class like that? I can be fairly unco. . should I do some boxercise with a personal trainer first or something?

Vague I know. . but cheers for any info you can give :)

  1. a)Kickboxing is mainly boxing with kicks.

    b)No, you do not have to get fit first before joining a class. You will get fitter through training.

    I suggest you go for a trial lesson and see what its like before you make a decision.
