Should i be guilty for this?

ok, so we will have this laboratory activity in chemistry and all groups including the one i'm at must reserve materials for our experiment on monday, our teacher asked us last week on what groups had reserved the materials, our group leader did not raise his. that means we haven't yet.

should i feel guilt for not reserving the materials?

our leader didn't even ask me to do so.i also know that it's his job to ask us to do so or he himself should reserve the materials.

Why would you feel Guilty?  He is the leader, it would be his responsibility to delegate duties or do it himself.  xox

It was your group leaders job. Not yours since he did not put you in charge of reserving the materials for chem.lab. He is the only person who is at fault.

no you shouldn't feel guilty for not reserving the materials the leader of the group did not ask you to do so, why should the responsibility lie with you why couldn't some one else in the group do it? Long answer short no you shouldn't feel guilty.

You shouldn't feel guilty about what someone else didn't do.

A couple of questions for you:

How many people are in your group?

Is there an unofficial 'heirarchy' within this group (other than the fact that one person is the leader)?

I ask these because I'm curious to know who the leader would ask to reserve the materials if he himself was unable to do so.  Just anyone, or someone in particular.

Perhaps you, as a group, could nominate one other person to organise materials for each experiment in the future, so that this doesn't happen again.

No need to feel guilty if it his job to allocate tasks to members of your group. May not be a bad idea to do so just in case.
