  1. do what you want!! its your body and its up to you what you want to put in it. i say go for it.im a vegetarian myself.

  2. Girl, Its your choice.

But Since you're starting again, I think you should kinda ease back into it.

I love being Vegetarian but Nobody in my family supports me either.

After a while, They'll get used to it again.

I hope you choose what you want and ignore the others.

  3. Just make sure your getting all the nutrition. Its your choice. Eat what you want to eat. Take vitamin tablet. To help with your skin tone.

  4. Go  back to being vegan.

But eat a more balanced meal, i.e. get your proteins from nuts and seeds.

Eat your vegetables and have a balanced meal.

I am a vegetarian and I don't eat eggs. I do have milk and cheese, so dunno what a vegan would use to replace dairy, but I'd say go veggie at least.

  5. You don't want to be super skinny, especially when vegan.

Eat lots of pasta and healthy fats such as olive oil, flax seeds, avocados and nut butters.

I'd recommend that you buy vegan B12 pills instead of injections.

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentil, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help you if you see proof that vegetarians have the same potential as anyone else.

If you need meat or dairy during any stage of your life or to live any certain lifestyle, why does the American Dietetic Association say otherwise?

  6. I would suggest getting advise from a good dietitian/nutritionist to help you set up the best diet for yourself.

Your weight might be good for your height and body type (my youngest is only 94 pounds and would not be considered under weight by anyone - she is 27).  But without knowing - I suggest going to the doctor and getting a good overall testing physical first and a referral to a dietitian/nutritionist to be on the safe side.

  7. If it is something you are passionate about-and it sounds like you are-then yes. Don't listen to what others say, they just don't understand vegetarianism. Make sure you are still getting all the nutrition you need, i would recommend talking with a nutritionist.

  8. At your age you are pretty much fully grown, so you won't be doing much permanent damage to your body. But if you are skinny and scrawny already, and don't want to eat animal products, you have got to eat more. Many vegans carry raisins and nuts and such in their pockets and nibble on them all day long. At the very least, you might try increasing your input by going from three to four or five meals a day.

And make sure that (a) you are getting plenty of calcium or you may pay for it when you get older; (b) make sure you are not anemic.

  9. So long as you're eating a properly balanced diet and getting enough calories, you should be healthy.

At 94lb, I'd be worried that you have an eating disorder. Overeating isn't a good thing, but it's not healthy to be underweight either. There's a lot of pressure on young women to be thin. You might want to discuss your diet with a nutritionist to be sure you're eating enough and getting all you need.

  10. Sweetie, were you a veg with a eating disorder? I'm wondering because you mentioned needing B12 shots. If you had no major health problems there would of been no need for shots of B12. I'd recommend talking to your doctor and doing more research this time.

  11. Do what you feel comfortable with, don't listen to others.. listen to yourself.  Don't let them put you down, it's your life and you chose how to live it, not them.
