If you are buying bullion as a means of investments or financial security then buy gold. Gold is more valuable than silver per gram of its weight and  it will take less space in your safe compared to the bulk of silver.

Another reason for buying gold is that today most of the currencies are simply paper currencies. The gold backing of currency went out of trend in 20th century. So, as an economy of a nation goes down and inflation rises, the paper currency loses its buying power. But, gold will always be  of value and its buying power will be more or less stable.

With present scenario of global economic slump spurred by the slump in US economy, one must buy gold to keep safe and secure if and when the paper currencies lose value.

The gold is getting expensive only due to its increasing importance as a stable and long lasting investment option.

If you like silver and gold so do not buy but yes, if you wan't to make 500=700 so you should buy Gold and As ornaments also if you are buying so buy only gold because gold price always rises.

I think you should buy gold cuz it doesnt fade [being a noble metal], it quite lustrous and it goes on dresses of any colour.
