Should i feel good about myself?

Question

I spent a lot time putting couples together and the rest of it wishing i had a partner. Tonight i paired my friend with a girl that i liked and now i feel kind of jealous that he is going with her and I'm not... I'm trying to get over her but i talk to her every day and i think I'm kind of infatuated with her.

So should i feel good about myself for pairing people or am i just being selfish?

Yeah. I agree with the first poster. You're not everybody's Cupid. And this might not apply to you, but where I go to school it's really annoying when someone tries to pair you up with someone else...it's like they  can't deal with it themselves.

I think you need some "you" time. Really...you got to know what you really want and think it over carefully. Let people handle their own affairs. If someone comes up to you and asks for advice about a girl or someone they like, give it to them. But try to let them handle some stuff on their own. You need to start gaining some backbone.

What you said about how it makes people happy...are you sure about that? Do you think, as nervous as they were probably, if they REALLY liked the person, they wouldn't do it themselves?

Think it over. But let me tell you, this isn't your responsibility. You should feel good about helping people out, but help out yourself first.

I just can't get over the fact you paired your friend with a girl that YOU like. That makes little or no sense to me.

You're not being selfish obviously, but seriously... think before you play cupid. :/

Why are you playing cupid?  What's in it for you?  

Try and find someone for yourself first, then help others.  Got to think abut #1 once in a while too you know.
