Should i go back to ballet?

Question

I was in ballet from age ~3-First grade. i am considering going back into it, but i'm in junior high. I have the right build for ballet and im pretty flexible, but i don't know if it would be worth going back to. What do you think, and do you reccomend any ballet schools in the phoenix/glendale az area? thanx

Do ballet if you feel you can do it and will have the dedication.

I do ballet but Im not very flexible at all ,I've been trying to do stretches and hold them for 1 minute each

Well, it depends on what you're meaning - go back to it to become a professional or just for fun.

Professional: I don't know, it might be a little late.  It depends on how good/bad you are - junior high is a late time to start.....I can't make that decision for you though.

For Fun: Definitely go back - you've got nothing to lose and ballet keeps you in great shape and is fun to do.

omg thts like EXACTLY my situation! but im pretty sure im gonna do it cuz im a dedicated dancer & i really miss ballet. so its really just a decision u should make 4 urself

since i take dance as my elective at school i would say TOTALLY GO FOR IT! it's really beautiful! i hav friends that did only start in 7th grade but they've really improved....if they can do it than so can you! SOOOO...TOTALLY GO FOR IT! GOOD LUCK! DANCE BEAUTIFULLY!

You should if it's something you enjoy. I know a bunch of people who started in junior high so it shouldn't really matter. I personally would never go back. Just thought I'd add that in there for all the people like me, crushed by ballet.

I love ballet. To catch up, you need to work very hard and be dedicated. Don't slack off during exercises when the instructor is not looking. And, you don't need a specific 'build' to dance. It's for everyone who wants to!
