I have always have always been proud to be an American, I always stood up and said the pledge of Alegence really meaning it, And I wanted to serve for the longest time, And do my part. but Recently i have been getting c**p for being Latin from white people and it kinda bothers me because my parents were Immigrants (they got naturalized in the 80's) and they feel like they are real americans but I have felt like and american but they say stupid stuff and keep hating on Latinos

  1. Be proud of who you are, where your comes from and your service if you should choose to serve.  I'm the son of immigrants also, except mine came over from Ireland so I never had to deal with ignorant racists all of that was long over by the time I came around.  I just got c**p b/c my parents "talked funny".  :-/

I served with many Latinos, blacks, asains, ect...while I was a Marine.  We gave each other h**l and were "racists" to each other jokingly, but god help the outsider who tried to talk **** to my brothers.  nothing like having 10+ pissed off grunts coming after you.   :-D

Regardless of what anyone says to you, you are just as much an American as they are and entitled to just as much.

  2. One thing I remember about my time in the Army, is that we all bleed red.  When you must depend on your colleague . for quite literally, your life, you become color blind awfully quick.  When everybody gets their head shaved, Soldiers all look alike.  New nicknames like "Pumpkin Head" appear. That just reinforces the fact that we are more alike than different.

Don't let a few idiots taint your impression of our fine country.  Look no further than your own family, immigrants, who are now naturalized citizens, and you Sir, a proud native son.  A true American success story!  Go ahead and serve our country with pride!

    Thank you!

Additional details: ignore the ignorant.  Gets under their skin.  Not worth the effort.

  3. That's a bunch of bullshit. People still do not understand that America is a melting pot with all kinds of different people. Doesn't matter what color you are, if you live in America, love America, and love the people you are a true America. America would protect any latino country if gotten attacked. So you would be fighting for the strongest army in the world and be the world's protector.

  4. I was thinking about it too until I found out they test experimental drugs on you, when you sign up you have to let them stick you with syringes and inject you with secret stuff, even if you're retired

  5. Point out that you are an American and look to those flooding the border and trashing your heritage.

You're blaming whites for what people from Mexico, with the help of politicians are doing.

I'll be the first to admit, that since politicians have allowed illegals to flood the country, take amercian jobs and live off the American Tax payers dime, I do indeed look very differently toward Hispanics that I used to.

  6. youre pride in your country should tell you yes. and last i checked racial discrimination in the military should have decreased at least. i say go for it. youll meet people of all races there

  7. s***w those idiots. They have no right to tell you anything. You are just as American as they are. If you want to, go for it.

  8. s***w them bro , if you want to join the army, do it. it doesn't matter what color you are, you're still an american citizen.

  9. No I don't think you should, if you can't handle what negative things people say to you then how do you expect to handle a war

  10. why do you want to fight for white people?

  11. Sign up! You ARE an American Citizen! You probably have more guts than what they do, because obviously they aren't signing up. The army provides you with so many amazing benefits. Go for it =]

  12. Last I knew you didn't have to be a certain race to join the Army.  If your worried about what others say about how you shouldn't join then I think you need to learn how to tell them to back off.  This is your choice and if you want to join and protect the USA then I say do it.  Your braver then some and braver then the ones who say you shouldn't join.
