Should she buy this mop?

my aunt is thinking about buying a steam mop called shark. have you used it? what did you think about it??? did you like it?

i heard only great things about the shark all year on yahoo answers read allot about the shark i was looking into buying one myself.but it is only me and my daughter i don't have allot of cleaning.and i do have someone come in 1 a week for me to do the floors and laundry so i just pick up during the week but i have heard allot of great things about the shark.

i saw a consumer report on this from one of the local channels.

the person said it didn't pick up or clean dirt, especailly carpet, anything like what it promised to do.  the tester said she didn't think it worked well enough to spend that sum of money on.

unfortunately, i can't remember WHICH station i saw this on.

I have a Shark steamer but I have the one that looks like a small canister vac.  I felt the mop type design limited what you could use it for.  And I do love the thing!  It works wonders on my gas grill, ceramic top stove, kitchen cabinets, floors, cleaning bathrooms, windows and almost anything!  It's also very handy for stripping wallpaper, removing caulk, removing excess paint and even defrosting the freezer! I was tired of buying cleaning products that don't work, the fumes, the overly perfumed smells and what they do to your hands unless you wear gloves so I thought I'd get one and see if it did work.  And it does, very well.  Just be sure to use the microfiber cloths with it when cleaning because they really do a better job and don't leave lint or fuzzies.  If she reads her owners manual, it's explains all that in there.

Don't know about the shark, but the Swiffer mop is c**p.
