Shower making noise?

Question

Hi, I have a shower fed from a Vaillant heating system. When I start the shower, if I don't set it to maximum water temperature, it starts making a strange noise. The only way to overcome this, is to start with maximum temperature then to reduce it slowly.

Any idea what could cause such strange annoying noise?

it's one of two problems:

Either, loose pipes that are not bracketed on the frames

or Water hammer
