  1. Tiger Shrimp?

    Langostinos?

    Australian Prawns?

    Scampi?

  2. shiftace is right. Try BBQ a fresh one. The meat is very smooth and if you add a dollop of salted butter on it while grilling, the taste is heavenly

  3. I know what you're talking about. In cantonese, it's called lai niu ha. I never ate those before, but I seen them a few times before. Fresh and sun dried.

  4. I don't know what the technical term for them is but I saw them on Anthony Bourdain's show "No Reservations", I think he was in Thailand or Korea but I'm not sure. He was at a fish market and the shop person pulled this huge shrimp out of a big bucket and placed it on it's back. It did start to 'pee' but the guy was saying it was just water because shrimp don't pee.

The shrimp was the size of a small lobster.

  5. I am quite sure you're talking about a Mantis Shrimp. That's what the Cantonese pissing shrimp is called.

Looks ugly, nothing like a regular shrimp? More like a bug, right?
