Sick fish, help quick please!?

Question

Ok, i have a pregnant platy that is having problems, this all must have happened last night.

symptoms are :

white dots covering her back fin

torn up back fin

white spots on her body

what appears to be a white fungus looking thing above her eyes. It is something ontop of the skin, not a white part of the skin.

whats wrong with my fish? my pH level is very high, 7.6 or higher (my test kit only goes to 7.6) but i have been trying to fix that, and just bought a medicine to lower my pH.

I bought a medicine made by Mardel that claims to fix "Fin and Tail rot, Popeye, and 'Body Fungus'"

is this correct? or does my fish have ick?

It's ich. most likely caused by poor water parameters. check your ammonia and nitrite levels and get some ich treatment. doesn't cost much but be certain to follow the directions exactly. also turn up the temperature slowly the parasites life cycle speeds up with higher temperatures. good luck..

Sorry but it appears your fish has ick  you can by Ick Clear by Tank Buddies it has worked beautifully in the past for me. Don't continue with messing with the pH it'll make it worse.

you should buy a ich treatment, youre fish will dye soon if you dont, also you need fin rot removal, and fungal treatment.

You have describe multiple symptom, namely ick (or white spot), Fin Rot and lesion. Usually this will happen all at once when the water parameters are bad. So thats should be the first thing you should fix.

A change of water will result in more good then the negative of water conditional. So change as much water as you can, I recommend 30% of the tank twice a week for now.

With better water condition and some salt, hopefully things will improve and you can get some ick medication to treat it too.
