Sidekick Slide Problem?

Question

I have a sidekick slide that i purchased in December right after the recall and put the slides back on the market and i had no problems until now. When im doing something and i have my phone in my pocket and take it out and put it back in or whatever and when i take it out sometimes its off and i turn it on and all the data is gone and it takes like 20 min to come back, is this a problem?? For example on the purchased ringtones it says pending. Also as i know of this has nothing to do with sliding the screen up or down
