Silent Surging Rangers??

Question

Quietly The Rangers are in the thick of WC race, believe it or not. Despite their knack of quality pitching. They are tryign to be taken seriously as contenders, but I think if they went out for an arm or 2, it would solidify their attempts. Taht pitching staff just sint going to do it, despite their awesome offense. None the less, they are winning, and not getting much notice, which they probably quietly prefer. What do you think of The Rangers,a nd shoudl they get a SP, last minute to help?

With how well the Rays, Red Sox, and Yankees are doing in the AL East, the White Sox and Twins holding it down in the AL Central, and let's face it the Angels are really the best team right now and have the greatest chance at being champs this year (look at their pitching staff!); the Rangers have A LOT to accomplish before thinking World Series. Especially with the pitching staff they have right now. They need pitching help, but with the Yankees stealing every good player from free agency and other teams, good luck to the Rangers in finding a decent arm.

I LOVE the Texas Rangers. I go to 25 games each season. :]  You should really go to a game if you have the chance. Anyways...yes they should get a starting pitcher. I'm willing to send Boggs or Vazquez (hes a utility player) for a proven good pitcher. At this point I'm just going with the flow. I'm just afraid we'll send a great guy and get **** in return. And your right..this pitching staff won't do it. The guys know they have to score runs because starters don't last long and the bullpen is overworked a great deal of the time. I don't want to break up our great offense (Young Kinsler Hamilton Bradley Murphy). We just need pitching and we could give the teams a run for their money.

In short, no playoffs this year. Their still 4th in wild card but thats all they'll be with this pitching.
