Simplicity nursery-in-a-box ?

I bought a simplicity nursery in-a-box crib yesterday at walmart. After we bought only we realized that there are lot of discussion in forums about the recalls for this product. I have even seen the recall details in consumersearch.com too. But it talks about the crib which manufactured between jul 2007 to sep 2007 . I am sure that the simplicity might have improved the product by this time. But i don't want to take any risk in my baby stuff. could anyone of you had any experience with this crib in your recent purchase. It will be helpful if you share your experience. Thanks.

go to walmart.com and look at the reviews and ratings of the item.

i actually was on there this morning, and i believe i looked at the one you bought. if it is the same one, there are a few negatives and positives about it. go read it!

I didn't buy the product you did, but I was given a simplicity bassinet when I first became pregnant as a hand me down. When I researched the brand and products, I found that Simplicity has had quite a few recalls of many different products over the years...to the point where the government has issued a warning against purchasing any of their products. If your looking for something affordable and good quality (doesn't seem like to the two come hand in hand very often anymore with baby products) Consumer Reports just rated a gracco crib for about $150 that was sturdy and it also converted into a bed. Hopes this helps.
