Sims 2 university cd problem?

i borrowed a sims 2 university cd from my friend yesterday.when i opened it, it goes very slow. i decided to burn it to another cd but it didnt work. i cleaned it and it installed only until 60 percent. it said 'problem copying file' i know this means the cd is damaged but is there any other way to install the game?

my friend installed it some weeks ago and he said it installed ok and the cd IS pirated.

Ummm why are you saying that the cd is pirated. You know there are people checking in all messages to see if something in wrong. Well guess what? That's wrong. they can track you down!!!.

Anyway, check if you have The sims 2 original cd and also, you can only instal with one CD on ONE computer.
