Yes he did at the ripe old age of 88 by way of heart attack in Middlemore Hospital, Auckland New Zealand, surrounded by family and friends and he led a full life mostly spent in Nepal helping them build churches and schools, he is greatly respected by us  here in NZ and all over the world, rest in peace Sir Edmund, we will remember you for always, and yes Hillary Clinton was indeed named after Sir Ed!!  Our Country is in Mourning right now!! and yes he was the first to conquer Mt Everest  :)
