yea he did of a heart attack. But family said he was really happy before he had it so that is nice.

Yes he did at the ripe old age of 88 by way of heart attack in Middlemore Hospital, Auckland New Zealand, surrounded by family and friends and he led a full life mostly spent in Nepal helping them build churches and schools, he is greatly respected by us here in NZ and all over the world, rest in peace Sir Edmund, we will remember you for always, and yes Hillary Clinton was indeed named after Sir Ed!! Our Country is in Mourning right now!! and yes he was the first to conquer Mt Everest :)

yes he did, very sad, I love Mt everest it is a passion of mine and I know very well tails and stories of all kinds of great climbers, he shall be very missed... he was a hero of mine, it shows you dont have to be the most extravigent person in the world to summit a mountain... if a bee keeper can do it, then go back to being a regular person, everyone else can set big goals too,,,, I cried when I heard last night,,,
