I'm going to Magic Mountian on May 24th. I have a few questions:

1) Is it as crowded as Disneyland?

2) About how long are the waits for the coasters?

3) Is the food overpriced?

4) Any ride recommendations?

Heh, I really want to go on the X2, but the line's gonna take FOREVER. D:

  1. 1) Is it as crowded as Disneyland?

    its really crowded on saturday

    2) About how long are the waits for the coasters?

without the flashpass the wait is about 2 - 3 hours

so you should get the flashpass which is $25 each

and like you wait in line for 10 mins so its worth it :]

    3) Is the food overpriced? its okay

    4) Any ride recommendations?

tatsu was my favorite, its the best ride out of the whole park!

    riddler's revenge

    scream

    goliath

    and batman

and riding the rides front row is so much better!

  2. 1.      depends on the day, go on a tuesday

    2.      depends on the day but every one is differn't like deja vu is like a 2 hour wait and scream in like 5 min

    3.       o ya

    4.       tatsu no matter how long the wait is, riddlers revenge, deja vu, viper, X2, gold rusher, Seper man, the little kids coaster, revolution, scream, batman, but NOT ninja if the line 5 min or more

  3. 1) No. Much less crowded, unless you go on saturday or on nice fridays

    2) It depends on when you're there. The nicer the day, the longer the wait. Ive waited 2 hours to go on goalith.

    3) Its not as bad as disneyland, buts its not Macdonald's. bring 15-20 bucks for a good meal and some snacks. (theres some restaurant that has really good burgers and fries for like 8 bucks. I dont know the name, but it looks like a huge tree)

    4) X and scream are AMAZING! I love them! Tatsu is a lot of fun and so is batman.

  4. 1) its not that  crowded but its not empty

2)really popular rides are abuot 20 minutes and not-so-popular rides are really short

    3)yes the food is overpriced

    4)the riddeler is my favorite

and if i were u id go a day during school so little kids arent running around

  5. 1) Depends on when you go.

    2) The waits can be rather long...and unlike Disneyland most of the lines at SixFlags are not themed...just waiting there in-between rows of chains for a long time. Waits are usually shorter earlier in the day and later at night.

    3) Yes, the food is overpriced. This is a key way most amusement and theme parks make money.

    4)

    - X is totally fun and unique.

    - Viper is a classic, but don't wait too long for it.

    - I've heard good things about Tatsu, but haven't gotten a chance to ride it yet.

    - Ride Goliath - The height and first drop are things of legend.

    - The Riddler is worth experiencing (you ride standing up).

    - I enjoyed the thrill of Superman, but the ride is quite short and not worth waiting a long time for.

    - DejaVu is a unique experience and worth trying once.

    - Batman is fun - if the line is short ride it once in the front (for a sweet view) and once in the back (for a WAY more intense ride).

Actually - that's a good rule of thumb for any coasters. The front usually offers a great view. The back offers you the momentum of the entire coaster train which makes every drop, corkscrew, and launch MUCH more intense the further back you are.

Also, if you get there before the park opens, and walk (don't run) to the other side of the park and you should be able to get a handful of rides done quickly as people trickle into the front of the park...or you could also use that time to get into line for something like X which will have longer lines throughout the day. Kind of a tricky decision :)

Hope that helps. Have fun :)
