  1. mystery is a great company,i have a mystery board and i love it,if your a begginer you may want to get a complete like this but when you get more advanced you may want to look into customizing your own board , my suggestions would be:

    deck:baker,almost,mystery

    trucks:independent,thunder

    wheels:bones,spitfire

    bearings:bones

im glad that your starting to skate, skateboarding needs more girls involved.

  2. 7.5 is the width of the board it really doesn't matter but some people get fussy about it but it really doesn't do any thing.Mystery is a good board it has really good durability they last really long so i would get a mystery or a element for beginners

  3. 7.5 is the width of the board. then mystery is a nice board too

  4. 7.5 is the width of the board.  For a begginer i would get a 7.75 or an 8" because its easier to learn on and more stable.  As for trucks some good companies are krux trux, independent, venture.  Some good wheels would be spitfire or bones(street=50-56mm, vert>56), and some good deck types would be alien workshop, black label, and zero.

My set-up right now is a 7.75" alien workshop steve berra deck, 5.0 venture trucks, bones 52mm wheels, and redz bearings.

***a side not on trucks: http://www.skatewarehouse.com/descpageTR... has a list of venture trucks and their sizing, ie 5.0 for a 7.75" deck and so on.
