Skiing!?!?!?!?

Where is the skiing spot in the northeast that isn't a trail, but people make it one, and it has something like a 300ft hill, and people hike up to it just to ski, something pass or something is the name?

yeah, there is a hill like that right by my house next to k-mart. The little kids go there to sled, its in Kearney New Jersey by the way
