Skiing????????

Question

I live on long island. I want to go skiing. where should I go? I only want to travel 2-3 hours.

mountain creek in vernon, new jersey is an awesome mountain for people living in or around the city who don't want to travel very far. it has 4 peaks, 2 completely devoted to terrain parks. if you like that stuff, head over to south, if not, the northern peaks are free from snowboarders and freestylers. another great option in mt peter in warwick ny, about 45 minutes outside of the city. its a great mountain for families, and beginners learning to ski.

Hunter(catskils) is about a 2 1/2hr drive but be prepared for crowded slopes...everyone in the city goes there
