Skiing/snowboarding in the inland northwest.?

Ever since I moved to Spokane, every time I go to Silver Mountain or 49 degrees north the mountain is virtually empty. I’ve never had to wait in a lift line at all, and if I go a little off the beaten path it is as if a helicopter dropped me there. This weekend I did a little hiking to get to some runs I hadn’t ridden before (not out of bounds though), and it looked like nobody had skied there in a month; there were several feet of pristine, untouched powder, it was awesome!! Is it always like this at Silver Mountain and other inland northwest resorts, or have I just been getting lucky this year?

I don't know because i have never been to silver mountain.

This year has been a record setting year for snowfall both at the begining and the end of the season.

As far as crowds, well most people are in the cascade passes, they've been pretty busy.

I'm a seattlite.   Even places like Snoqualmie pass have gotten great snow.
