It depends on what position you play, but being able to shoot would help you alot, not to mention speed, handles, and passing which is under rated.

1)  Being able to catch the ball in the triple threat position: ready to shoot, pass, or drive.

2)  Being able to do all three things from the triple threat.  Some people can not shoot- so the defender well back off and dare them- this takes away their avenue of driving- and also sometimes makes it hard to pass.  

3)  Good footwork- catching the ball so you can shoot- it's that quick ability to square up that can make a defender jump with a pump fake and that will allow you to drive- and when the double team comes - dish off for an assist.
