Skimboard Resurfacing?

I have a Zap Pro fiberglass skimboard, and I wanted to know how much it woulkd cost to resurface the bottom. Mine is beaten up pretty good and I dont want to drop another 200 after one year. anyone know the cost?

  1. You could do it yourself for 10 bucks or so, a surf shop would probably be around $25-45 depending if you have any hook-ups or not. It's just as easy as mixing the right amounts of resin and catalyst together, applying a thin coat evenly with a squeegee and then sanding it smoothly with a very fine sandpaper. If you don't have a surf shop in the area you could look for a boat repair yard. There are people who build custom fiberglass items for cars so calling a auto body shop could lead you to someone who might be able to help as well.
