I had my new doc martens on at the building site today and they very extremely sore, rubbing on my heels, when i get home and took them off the skin had rubbed off both my heels leaving two very sensitive red patches which are bloody sore with just my sock touching. It was very pain full when i put my boots back on and i could hardly walk. I'm off work til friday and just wondering if there was anything i could to to ensure that it was all healed up in time for friday because i wont be allowed to work without my safety boots. It seems to be a hard patch of leather on the back of the boot that is causing this rubbing.

1. Is there anything i could do to ensure that these patches with no skin have healed up in time for friday morning?

2. Is there anyway i could soften the hard patch of leather very quickly.

thanks in advance

  1. WEAR THICK BANDAIDS ON YOUR HEELS AND BRING EXTRAS

    NEOSPORIN HELPS TOO

  2. It will most likely not heal by Friday, but if you buy some large bandaids and put one on each heel, wear thick socks, and bring extra bandaids, it should be ok. You are gonna have to keep wearing bandaids, even after it heals, until the shoes break in some more.

  3. Try rubbing the sore part with ice while just relaxing it.. Ice always speeds things up also put those soft plastic pain decreasing stuff inside your shoe!
