Skinks in my garage?

Question

Yesterday morning i went out to my garage and saw a 5-lined skink run out of my shoe!! Im totally creeped out about them now. It freaks me out to think that there might be a skink in my shoe the next time i put it on.

I think he lives in my garage somewhere. How can i get rid of it?
