Although Sky King never flew a Cessna 310Q, is it possible to fill the seats and the tanks (over 100+ gal) and still make take off weight? (pressure altitude not considered)

  1. For a Cessna 310Q?

I'm going to assume the Useable Load is 1953 lbs.  (5300-3347

Subtract 6lbs per gallon for 100 gallons and you have 1353 lbs to distribute among the seats.

Depending on the weight of your passengers, yes, and no.

    1353/6 = 225lbs per seat.

You would still have to do weight and balance on that, to see if the CG is within the envelope, but...

I'd say you could go full seats/fuel more often than not.

  2. Well let's see. The web sites listed below say a Cessna 310Q has a Gross Weight: 5300 lbs and an Empty Weight: 3214 lbs. along with a Fuel Capacity: 102.00 gal Passenger weight use to be figured at 200Lbs each per person and this is with no baggage.

    So I came up with

    5300 MAX Wt

    3214 Empty Wt

    2086 useful Load and

      612 Fuel Weight (102 gals @ 6LbsperGal)

    1474 remaining Useful

    1200 (six passengers @ 200lbs Ea)

      274 Lbs useful load remaining

Does this sound right?  Check the math since I just did this off the top of my head

  3. in all honesty i dont know.
