Sky+ with regualar Sky card?

I have a regular Sky TV subscription and was wondering if I could buy a Sky+ box of eBay and just insert my regular Sky Card. Does anyone know if this will work?

yes it will work but you will need to ring sky to assign that card to your new box.Don't buy Thompson,or Amstrad.

No...you need an adjustment to the dish to allow two signals to come to the box one you watch and the other you record.....I think you need more than just a box adding.....could be wrong...no expert.

We have a normal sky  box and a sky+ box - when we bought our sky + box we inserted our card into that box and waited for the new one to come through and put that in the old sky box... at the time we bought it on a deal and we only pay an extra £10 a month for the sky+ on top of what we were already paying for the sky...

Sooooo.... you might be able to use your card but i reckon you could get charged with an additional cost
