Could anyone help me with these questions, they are really giving me a hard time. you dont need to answer them if you dont want, just advice/ideas would be helpful thanks for any help (yes i read the book btw)

1) Why does Vonnegut choose to tell his story in a non-linear manner? Why is this structure important to us as readers? (Think about the effects of the

structures of Notes from Underground and Frankenstein.)

2) Consider the violence in the novel. According to Vonnegut, what are the causes of violence? What effects does that violence have on the characters’ psyches; how do they cope?

3) How do the characters strive to preserve dignity and a sense of self in an environment that demands conformity and imposes expectations?

4) Consider the various forms of isolation depicted in the novel. According to Vonnegut, what are the effects of isolation on the individual? On society as a whole?
