  1. I've had the same problems, and I think I might be able to help.

Here are some things that I have learned that help me.

    1.  Go to bed at the same time each night.  If you get your self in a routine, your brain will get used to going asleep on time.

    2.  Get 2 or 3 hours of sleep BEFORE midnight.  That means going to bed at 9pm or 10pm.  Studies have shown that sleep you get before midnight is worth at least twice as much then sleep after midnight.

    3.  GET UP ON TIME!  Even if you didn't sleep a wink, don't stay in bed past 10am.  You will have a hard time falling asleep the next night if you don't get up.

    4.  Exercise in the morning after you get up, and exercise before you go to sleep.

    5.  Don't take a nap for more than 45 minutes, and do so before 4 in the afternoon.  Otherwise, you won't fall asleep at bed time.

Also take a look at a couple of articles I found at WikiHow.  They may help.

    Hope this helps!
