Question

I am interest to find out where to get information on parts that are
used to made the slider on a copier such as canon pc 425.

Can I modified the Canon PC 425 copier, so that the system will not
reverse the direction until it receive an external contact
signal? I also want to be able to disable all other
interlocks that are not used for moving the stage?

The PC 425 copier has a "metal" strip. What is its function?
