Sliding rails on skis?

I can slide a box easily and i know i can slide a rail im just scared thats all thats stoping me because iv takin some bad falls or rail does anyone have any tips on sliding rails physicly or mentaly

  1. The biggest thing is selfconfidence, you alreadly know you can do so just go for it.  once you do it, know you can do it again.

    pick a short, low (way below crotch level) rail at your ski hill.  set up for it straight on with medium speed.  dont go to slow or it will take you a long time to slide it and harder to balance.  stay in a low,balanced stance and keep the rail centered underyour boots.  Wear a helmet and good luck.


  2. Voo-Doo boards are good to help practice the balance before getting on the slopes.  

    Just make sure to get the rail under your boots and enjoy the ride!

  3. You can make a rail for your home with PVC pipe mounted to a two by four

    Set this rail up and a low hight and practice sliding it then when you get the hang of it slide a rail at your local ski area

    (the metal rail will slide different than the PVC pipe so be careful your first time on a metal rail)
