Smart cars?does anyone have one??

If you own a Smart car i was wondering if you like it and if you think its a good car?And also how much do they usually sell for?and whats your opinion on the smart car?

  1. they range from $12,000 to $17,000 for the convertible.

    my neighbor has one and I have driven it.

    I would not buy one, it's too expensive for what you get. You can buy a Honda Fit for nearly the same price.

    it's cute but not good for anything but short trips and city driving.

    Power comes from a small, rear-mounted three-cylinder engine that Smart claims will deliver 40 mpg.

    it has a very strange 5-speed "automated manual" gearbox, which can shift on its own or be shifted via paddles behind the steering wheel. It's very clunky and choppy until they equip it with a bona fide manual transmission or a good automatic I'd wouldn't recommend anyone buy one.


  2. I think they are butt ugly, but the funeral directors will love them.

    Survivability in one of those things would only be in an accident under 12 MPH.

    Hit a deer, die.

    Hit a big dog, die.

    Get rear ended, die.

    Get "T" boned, die.

    Hit something head on, die.

    I wouldn't even ride in one.
