Smoke from wildfires in NC...?

there are some wildfires in the coast of NC and the winds have brought the smell to Raleigh where i live. i was planning to have a few friends over today for a pool party. do you think its safe to be outside for like 2 hours?

Being outside for more than 30 minutes is never safe in that smoke. I live in southeast VA and i had the same problem 2 days ago. The southwest winds brought the smoke right up here, now it is more of a northeast wind so the smoke is blowing in your direction. I would wait a couple days until the wind direction changes and the smoke comes back in my direction, then the smoke will be out of raleigh. That smoke makes it hard to breathe, depending on how bad it is. Just use your best judgement on how bad the smoke is in raleigh.
