Smokers in spain??

Question

I need to know the percentage of smokers in Spain for the years 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, or 1990. I don't need all of them, but one or two would be great. Thanks.

yes  i  lived in tenerife  and  nearly  everyone  i knew smoked  i guess its because   its cheap , and  unlike  the uk and many other places,its  not frowned  upon  !!

I lived in Spain in 1980.  My experience was that EVERY

ONE seemed to smoke, so, to give a guess, I would say in the 90% + realm.  but you would have to check statitics to be sure.
