Snapple mystery...?

I recently bought a flat of snapple juice from costco and when put in the freezer it does not freeze. BUT, if you take it out and open it up to allow a little air in and close it back up, when you shake it, the once fully liquified juice turns to slush.... why?? and how??

  1. Because when containers are pressurized, not enough space is there for ice to form. Because water expands when frozen, no room for ice.

I think that may be the reason.
