Snowboard problems!?

I am looking into snowboarding but i've run into a bit of trouble. I want to know what size waist of a board to get and the problem is I have a size 11 1/2 boot. For added info what overall length of a board do you think I should get. I'm 155lbs and 6' tall. Help me out here. I'm new to the sport so I figured I'd come to the real pro's. Thanx in advance.

  1. I am 6' tall and about 140. I have 11 1/2 boot also. I am currently riding a blank all-mountian board size 155cm with adult size bindings. If you just plan to  do basic riding, I would suggest getting a board that stands vertically between you're chin and you're nose. If you want to do some terrain park stuff or more aggressive riding then I would suggest getting a slightly smaller board, because they are better for that.

But since you're new and probably won't be jumping, you should get a board that is between your chin and nose.

Get an all-mountain type board also.

  2. Check out the Santa Cruz Perfect 11.  It's designed for dudes who have size 11 feet.  (it will work with bigger or smaller feet) I'd go with the 157cm length board.

    That's all you need

  4. At only 155 it depends on what type of riding you'll be doing.     If your not into the jumping and grinding go a little bigger maybe a 156cm.  I'm pretty big and ride a 162cm for all mountain.  Make sure its not too stiff you want to bend the board with your weight.

  5. you should probably get a size medium bindings and a wide board with the length about a size to your chin up to your nose.

  6. Sounds good, if all else fails get a board with a length that comes up to your chin.
