So confused after an interview?

I had a interview at a dental office. the dentist said i had the job, but still got another interview on monday. what does this mean. do i have the job or not.

If the dentist said you had the job, then you likely do.

It may be that the dentist makes the hiring decision, but you may need to meet with other people in the office first to get their approval (or, so that the others in the office feel like they have a say in the matter).

It could be an interview / meeting with an HR person to go over your pay / benefits, and make sure you aren't a felon or for some other reason can't fill the role.

Do you mean he said you are hired, but he is still interviewing someone else?

DO NOT count on this job. This seems weird. I had something similar happen to me very recently. The man pretty much said I was hired, then they suddenly hired someone's kid. I was SO upset. He really fooled me.

I don't know why he would say this to you. I could see him saying that you were one of his top choices or something to that effect, but this is strange.

If you do not hear anything by Tuesday afternoon, call him and ask him if he has made a final decision.
