I rescued a cat and she is about to have a litter of kittens. I already have two cats that are up to date on shots and are fixed. I'm wondering if i should keep one of the kittens and give the mom and rest of the kittens away to a good home. I have no way of knowing how old momma cat is and if she has had her shots, and momma cat don't like my other cats.

  1. I think you should do that.  That way the kittens are happy, and the momma cat and your other cats are happy too.  Try to give the kittens in pairs, kittens are happier if they have a companion :)

  2. If you're getting rid of the mom cat because your cats don't like it then more then likely your cats won't like the kitten either. Most of the time cats that have been with an owner longer just need time to adjust to the new cat or kitten... so really you need to decide if you want a kitten or the mommy cat because either way you cat will need time to adjust. Plus, you shouldn't add another cat to the bunch unless you have the space and money for all of them. Just make sure you do the right thing for the cat and kittens and not just what you want.
