So what are mushroom spores anyway.

i kicked some greenish brown flat round things in my friend's back yard and a huge black cloud of spores came pouring out and got all over my feet and made me cough. ewww. nasty. well i just want to know exactly what spores are and if breathing them in can harm you cuz im too young to die. i breathed them in is it gonna hurt me? help!

It is their equivalent to flower seeds. Fungi have spores.

Spores are what mushrooms use to make other mushrooms.  The produce asexually meaning they do not have s*x but the let spores fly to plant other mushrooms and that is how they reproduce.  Nothing to be afraid of at all.
