okay so my Sims 2 game ... when ever i play it shuts down my computer.... how do i stop this??? help

when you are playing a sims game on the comp u should clean the mainframe so that the wire inside the mainframe will stop lossening it theres a wire in there that will keep lossening so try to tape it and if that doesnt work then buy a new mainframe cuz its the wire thats shutting it down and most sim games are c**p to let you know

K, what you should do is close all the other applications before playing the game.  So shut down your internet explorer or firefox windows.  And also, check the minimum processor speed and RAM for the game, and see if your computer can handle it.  If not, you should buy some more RAM.  To check your processor speed and RAM the easy way, go to xfire.com (IDK if you HAVE to make an account, but if u do, its not a big deal).  Go to profile.  And then at the bottom, it says download gaming rig.  Click on that and it will take a few mins and tell u ur processor, RAM, and hard drive space.  Then see if those are high enough to meet the minimum requirements for Sims 2.

Sorry, but I don't know how to fix your Sims 2, but I thought you should be warned.

Maybe there is something wrong with your computer and it doesn't work well with the sims games. Perhaps you should get it checked out or buy a new computer.

do you mean it freezes and you have to turn your computer off?

or your computer is so outdated that if you try to run it it has to emergency shutdown?

if it is number 2

try enter dxdiag in start>run>dxdiag

then check the back of cd case and look at system stuff
